Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager with 3-6 years of experience in biotechnology or related fields to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a scientific education, strong background in managing biology related projects, with a proven track record of delivering results on time and within budget. You will lead project teams in the planning, design, and execution of large and complex projects that advance our company's mission.

Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Project Manager is to efficiently manage the progress of product development projects within the Innovation Management System. This role reports directly to the Director of R&D and involves fostering project commitment, influencing teams and stakeholders, overseeing R&D project progress, tracking milestones, managing meetings, collaborating on budget planning and resource allocation, communicating progress, aiding in planning new initiatives for product enhancement and most importantly, influencing all stakeholders to delivery on their commitments.

1.    Commitment Management and Outcome-Driven Leadership:

      Ensure team members at every level of the organization honor commitments, prioritizing project delivery over individual actions, allowing Kura to bring new products successfully into the market.

      Foster a culture of accountability and dedication within the team to support commitment management.

2.    Project Planning and Coordination:

      Oversee the advancement of R&D projects, ensuring timely completion and meeting agreed milestones.

      Track progress in the Innovation Management System, monitoring specific technical milestones' achievements.

3.    Meetings Management:

      Schedule and coordinate all necessary meetings, including cell meetings and technical meetings. Making sure participants are relevant for the actual stage of the project, inviting only necessary participants.

4.    Effective Communication around Risk Management

      Identify and manage potential risks during the project lifecycle.

      Analyze risks and their potential impact and likelihood.

      Coordinate the development of risk mitigation strategies.

5.    Budget Planning and Communication:

      Collaborate with the Director of R&D and CSO on budget planning and resource allocation.

      Coordinate with other areas about resource requirements for the projects.

      Communicate project progress to stakeholders during committee meetings, providing updates on current status and developments.

6.    Project Management Tools:

      Implement effective project management software to facilitate coordination among different project areas and enhance project communication and visibility.

      Follow up adoption of the process and tool among all key stakeholders and push for training when necessary.

7.    Project Planning and New Initiatives:

      Support planning of new projects and initiatives related to existing products to ensure successful development and improvement.

 

Skills & Experience

 

      3-6 years of experience in biotechnology or related

      Desirable experience in strategic planning, risk management, and evolving strategies.

      Bachelor's degree in biotechnology, bioengineering or related field in bio-science is required.

      Advanced degrees or project management certifications are advantageous.

      Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.

      Experience in using project management software.

      Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

      Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional project teams.

      Background in managing complex scientific or high tech projects.

 

      Capacity to coordinate with different departments to ensure resource availability.
